I'm a scientist by training, with experience as an educator and writer. Soon I'll be on a three year adventure living in Japan because of my husband's work. I've previously lived in the associated locales of Oklahoma, Ohio, New York, Virginia and South Carolina. I have a not too often used PhD in biology and like to keep up on the latest in science. I enjoy reading, cooking, home brewing beer, hiking, traveling and watching science fiction. My life is shared with my husband, a loyal black lab and a usually troublesome orange tabby.
